"Beyond" is a shortfilm that takes us into the studio of an artist, where we see a vase being made of clay, various painter's tools, a painting and some other things. However, the film is not dealing with the obvious and does not tell a story about the things in the room. It is actually the things that tell a story. By means of metaphors, optical illusions und effects the story of a woman who goes through separation, grief, hope and happiness is being told. This short film challenges the viewer's perception and imagination.

I realized this film in 2004 as part of my thesis at the
University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg (FH Hagenberg).

"Beyond" is a 3d animation done with 3ds max.
